Libertarian Party of Canada News |
The latest developments involving the LPC, changes and additions to the web site, and other announcements of interest.
Jean-Serge is happy to report that Elections Canada has accepted the names, and the Libertarian Party of Canada is fully registered, and has maintained registered party status. We would like to thank Jean-Serge and all of the other LPC activists who worked so hard to gather these members; and we would like to extend our gratitude to all members, new and old, who made this possible.
However, Jean-Serge reports that the paperwork does not end here. There is now a constant flow of forms to be filed and deadlines to be met in order to keep the party registered. Election Canada requires meetings with the party every three months. None of these requirements existed ten years ago.
Lead organizer for the convention is John Shaw, a long-time activist with the Ontario Libertarian Party. For more information about the convention, or to help out with the convention, you may contact John directly at <john@libertarian.on.ca> (John Shaw). You may also subscribe to the LPC-DIR email list.
